Winter in Delhi is slowly arriving ….the weather is pleasant ….trees full of pink…white flowers are blooming…
soon sweaters would be out from the closet.......

An Ahmedabad based organization set up by young Non Resident Indians (NRIs)… Anand Shah, Sonal and Roopal Shah is serving a greater cause of making NRIs contribute to the well being of their homeland. These young people work for the local populace here. It was heart warming to know that…they have set up schools, giving fellows to interested NRIs to visit India and make them involved in various projects .The brain drain is flowing back by any means welcome…
The effort would attempt to change the perception of resident Indians of the NRI as Non Returning Indians (NRIs)… otherwise the general tendency of people gone abroad is to compare the ills of our country with the developments of the developed nations serves no purpose.

In one way, Economy is growing
well in India. As per the present
trend, India is expected to be the
third largest economy by 2050.
but that does not solve the purpose
of bringing major developments
with in the country. Its only
these sort of initiatives
that can bring about major developments.
Its not reasonable to compare India with the developed nations.
In our country, medical facitilites are here in every nook and corner at an affordable price. Where as in western countries, people are made to wait list for 6 months to get appointment for a doctor.
So, there are certain factors which
we should be proud of...

I had read about that NGO before. If I am right, they were awarded a prize by rediff last year .
mm.. i have experienced the late night and early morning chilness of Delhi.. Felt good..
Nice to know about the efforts of the NRIs.. Its time to do similar things in rural Tamilnadu.. Let us all think about it..

I had read about Indicorps a few years back in "Hindu" newspaper, really great job by these young men who left their highly paid jobs in US to work for the underpriveliged society of india.Hats off to them!!!
